Being outside and learning while in many different environments is a huge part of our experience at The Willows and The Beeches. Learning outdoors and developing our awareness of others and ourselves helps our pupils to develop many life skills that are essential for their progress.
By learning resilience when things go wrong, learning perseverance when things are tough, learning determination when the weather treats us badly and learning humility when succeeding and achieving our goals our pupils gain the confidence to meet the challenges that face them in the future.
This is just a small amount of the benefits that are gained from our Outdoor Education. Some of the excellent places we like to visit include, Hamsterley Forest, Hill End, Gibside and Druridge Bay just to mention a few.
